Kurt Bechtel, MD has been a board certified anesthesiologist for 26 years and during that time has practiced in a variety of settings including large hospitals, small hospitals and surgery centers. He has experience with anesthesia for all types of operative procedures including orthopedic surgery, pain management, thoracic, general and vascular surgery as well as obstetrics, pediatrics, plastic, ENT surgery and neurosurgery cases.

Ever since training, Dr. Bechtel has enjoyed doing pediatric anesthesia and chose to do an additional six months of pediatric training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital which is consistently ranked as one of the top three pediatric hospitals in the country.

Kurt is happy to be practicing pediatric anesthesia exclusively now and loves taking the utmost care of your children. Kurt grew up in Ohio completing undergraduate, medical school and residency in Ohio. He moved to the great Pacific Northwest so his wife could be closer to her family and he enjoys living here.

During his time off, Kurt enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking and working out. Recently he has started playing the trumpet again after a hiatus of 34 years. Kurt was an accomplished trumpet player and played professionally throughout college.
